After I began studying insects, I quickly realized I loved to communicate science. As a science communicator on Instagram @bowlesbugs, I make short videos that explain published, peer-reviewed articles on insect behavior, sentience, mutualisms, and their interactions with plants. I aim to inspire my viewers with the diversity of biology and expand their worldview on the inner lives of insects and plants. 

I also serve as an ambassador for the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation where I present to the public about the importance of protecting threatened insects and pollinators.
